People say that the most important part of basketball team is teamwork but teamwork just means being able to function as a unit. It doesn't mean work as family that supports and believe in each other. This is what I know a team should be.

When I was 13, so year ago, I joined my middle school basketball team. We hardly knew each other so our first few practices were terrible. But as time went on we got better and better and as well as our friendship. Our first game was coming up and so Johnny and I invited our teammates(Charlie, Joey, Ebstone, Nate, Jesus a.k.a Chuy, Aaron, Andreas , Steven, and Isaiah) to a little gathering right after to school. We were having fun and made a toast saying that we were going to win our first game. B ut the following day we we were off by one point losing 21-22. We were little disappointed that we lost but it was still a close game and we were committed to do better.

The following week was our second game in our tournament and we were ready. We start off the game with the first point. As the game continues we realize that we are playing a team that doesn't really give a 100% effort. So we leave the game 58-10. The next few weeks we go undefeated and ranked #1 in our league.

But every team told us we should rank #2 because we ever face Curren. They told us that Curren actually plays basketball like men. So we just told them "We'll see". So until we meet them, we trained so we were prepared for that day.

The day has come we would play the "best" team and we were ready. Each minute was a battle, each point was a war. None of was thought it would be this intense. The crowd was even in competition with each other.

But it came to the last quarter it was 22-22, and we had a full quarter left. The crowd would go wild after every shot, crossover, and circus shots. Everyone was in the edge to see if it will be overtime or will we have a winner less than 10 seconds. It came to my friend at the 3 point line and a defender right front of him and there was a pump-fake and then the shots goes up. And next thing we know we're going to playoffs.
